Under §25 TTDSG, all such access to information on your end device is treated the same way, regardless of the underlying technology.
Storing information on your device, or accessing information already stored there, requires your prior consent under §25 (1) TTDSG, unless the storage or access is strictly necessary to provide a service you have expressly requested (§25 (2) No. 2 TTDSG). Where the information we then process constitutes personal data, any subsequent processing based on optional cookies is carried out on the legal basis of your consent under Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. Strictly necessary cookies are used without consent; optional cookies (Statistics and Marketing) are only set with your prior, informed consent.
